Urban Fix is the early riser on Capri, opening before most of the other eateries in the Capri on Via Roma complex.
You can drop in from 6am on any day and grab a Bacon and egg roll or Banana bread to go with your coffee, a smooth Adore Estate, or sit in the funky café and enjoy an Eggs Bene brekkie or lunch.
We sit outside in the sun on a winter’s day and enjoy lunch. The Main Squeeze can’t go past the Signature sandwich, packed with tender eye fillet, semi dried tomato and avocado, while I share my Urban beef salad ($16.50) with him as well. He’s gotta have his greens! I note an Acai bowl on offer, and carrot cake that I know has come out of the tiny kitchen.
The Adore coffee’s smooth and creamy. There’s a display cabinet full of Turkish rolls, muffins and cakes, with most goodies made in house by new owner Steve Partridge, a pastry chef by trade.
Capri is a major thoroughfare which many people travel across daily. It’s best to travel slowly! Better still, take a break and have a coffee and cake, or even a light meal at Urban Fix!
