Poloz Continental Foods

This little mixed business is a bit of a ‘jack of all trades’. More utilitarian than cute, it has a split personality: Polish deli on the one hand and takeaway brekkie/lunch spot on the other. There’s Kransky Roll and Pierogi on offer as well as the usual fried suspects, Big Brekkie for $11, and sandwiches named after every trade under the sun (Corporate gets Chicken breast, avo and cranberry, whereas Fireman eats Roast beef, mustard, cheese and salad), which you can take away or eat alfresco beside the diner.

But what we’re really interested in is the small deli which sells Polish smallgoods and grocery items at reasonable prices. These include some of Poland’s most famous sausages – freshly made Black pudding, Hunter, Cabanosi, Garlic sausage, Breakfast sausage, Krakowska, Jalowcowa, as well asSpeck and Ham from a Brisbane producer; and specialty Polish grocery items such as Vanilla sugar, Herbal teas, Chocolates, Syrups, various Beetroot and Sauerkraut, Wild mushrooms, Sour soup, Dill cucumbers, Peppers, Sauces and Masa Makowa (poppy seed cake mix)…to name a few!

Owner Yadviga Mcphan will greet you warmly, whether you want Fish and chips or Rosehip tea, and the place is spotless! Polish goods are a specialty cuisine on the Gold Coast, but selling brekkies and lunch to local tradies helps keep this little place afloat.
