O-Sushi, Broadbeach

There’s a range of multicultural food available in the new Oracle precinct at Broadbeach. Among restaurants here, O-Sushi stands proud as a local favourite and award winner, a restaurant that offers far more than its name suggests.

Established in 2004 in Byron Bay by Dan Regev and Karni Shai, O-Sushi has expanded, with the Coolangatta store opening in 2007, and the latest in Broadbeach commencing operation at the start of 2010. Since opening, O-Sushi has won at least eight excellence awards not just for food, but also for their exceptional customer service.

O-Sushi can be many things to different people: a fast healthy option for a quick lunch or takeaway, a relaxed intimate soothing space to share a meal with a friend, or a communal dining restaurant for a good night out.

O-Sushi3 Strikingly decorated in red and black, O-Sushi grabs attention, but the ambience defies the visual boldness. Classical guitar music soothes the spirit and there’s an aura of calm which is in obvious contrast to the urban surrounds.

The restaurant is split into two sections: the self-service (or made to order) sushi train and a traditional service restaurant, or you can combine the two! Sushi is fresh, well-priced, and there are some different dishes available which are not common elsewhere. It’s one of the few places serving sushi made with organic brown rice, for example, let alone the offer that any sushi from the menu can be made with brown rice! O-Sushi is MSG-free, and gluten-free soy is also used.

O-Sushi 6 The a-la-carte restaurant features a large range of authentic traditional menu items as well as modern Japanese French fusion cooking. Standout dishes are the handmade Chicken gyoza, Soft shell crab tempura, hotpots and Teppan fillet steak. The fusion rolls are a real contrast to the traditional dishes. The Signature O-Sushi Roll, one of three fusion rolls on offer, is filled with Soft Shell Crab, prawn, tamago, avocado, cucumber, fresh vegetables and topped with teriyaki sauce and mayonnaise.

O-Sushi 7 Wash your meal down with a good choice of Japanese or local beer, sake, plum wine, cocktails, Australian or imported wine, and soft drinks.

Come on a Thursday from 6pm and you can enjoy live music, cocktails and tapas!

O-Sushi4 Manager, Julie, is exceptionally helpful, making sure that service is prompt and welcoming. Wait staff are also happy to give recommendations or advice about the menu. What’s more, you’ve got to love the great deals O-Sushi has going for locals: Get a loyalty card when you dine, eat four more times for $10.00 or more and you receive a free sixth meal to the value of $10.00. Register for their online newsletter on the O-Sushi website, and you will receive a $25.00 birthday meal voucher, which you can spend at any time during that month absolutely free! With great fresh food, such a positive attitude and classy style, O-Sushi will be winning hearts and awards into the future.

You can take a great brunch here at O-Sushi. It is the best place to relax by the sea-side and fulfil a small appetite. You will love to visit the place. That is good place. You can find friendly people with smile. They take some time for preparing food but when you have enough time and you have to only relax while eating. It can be the right place.
